Academic League
The Academic League is an academic group that participates in quiz-bowl competitions with other school districts. There are competitions and practices throughout the year where individual and team scores are recorded. Students with high scores will represent Elizabeth Forward on KDKA’s Hometown High Q. Tryouts take place in mid-September.

BRAVE Bunch
Brave Bunch is a group of student leaders that communicate and collaborate with their peers and the staff of the high school to bring about a more enriching and positive school climate. These students are individually known for setting a positive example in the classroom and outside of school. The Brave Bunch also creates videos that assist in maintaining positive energy and behaviors at the Elizabeth Forward High School.

Drama Club
The Drama Club consists of the musical cast, crew, and pit. The spring musical normally takes place in April; however, auditions are usually held in October. Students are required to perform a monologue, song excerpt, and a short dance number taught by the vocal coach and the director and choreographer. Rehearsals take place between 2-4 times a week.

Future Ready Leaders
Future Ready Leaders is a collaborative leadership program for both students (grades 9-12) and educators that fosters young, innovative thinkers and problem solvers through a project-based approach.

Green Team
The Green Team is involved in recycling initiatives throughout the school, provide conservation education to elementary students during an Earth Day celebration in April, and cultivate plants in the greenhouse for a spring plant sale held in May. They also participate in the Phipps Fairchild Challenge, completing various activities throughout the school year.

Interact
Interact works with the Elizabeth Rotary Club and the Elizabeth Lions to help with community service projects. Examples include spaghetti dinners, the spelling bee, and road clean-up. They also help with school service projects too. Students can earn service hours, make a difference, meet new friends, and have fun.

Leo Club
Leo Club is a service organization affiliated with the local Lions Club. We participate in a variety of community service projects throughout the school and community.

Marching Band
The Marching Band and Color Guard at Elizabeth Forward represent the school district at football games, parades, and competitions throughout the area. In addition to our work in the community, we take one big trip per school year. Past trips have included Cedar Point and Disney World.

National Honor Society
NHS is a service organization that volunteers at multiple school events throughout the school year. Membership is not automatic. You are invited to apply for membership during the end of the 11th grade year. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 to qualify for an application for membership.

Spanish National Honor Society
Students may join in the junior or senior year in Spanish III with an A average in all Spanish courses and must take Spanish IV their senior year to join. All members participate in an initiation ceremony in April. $10 to join, $5 the next year.

Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD)
SADD’s mission is to empower and mobilize students through engaging in positive change using smart decision-making and the assistance of adult allies. The club fosters a sense of belonging and promotes resiliency, leadership, and advocacy skills so that young people make positive life decisions that will carry them throughout life. All students collaborate to create a healthier and safer world, one positive decision at a time.

Student Government Association
The SGA is an organization that represents the student body at administrative and school board meetings and participates in activities that help to build relationships between high school students, other students in the district, and the communities served by the high school. This is an organization that builds leadership skills. Join us for community service activities, writing pen pal letters, reading to elementary school kids, attending school board meetings and conferences, working at the Li’l Warrior Book Nook, and ultimately attending the regional student council gathering at the PASC District B Conference in the spring or the PASC State Conference in the fall. Opportunities are available for you to present at workshops and attend leadership camps. Membership is open all year. You do not need to be invited to join. No minimum GPA required. Join anytime!

The Technology Student Association fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); members apply and integrate these concepts through co-curricular activities, competitions and related programs.

Tri M Music Honor Society
The Tri-M Music Honor Society is a national honor society for student musicians in grades 9-12, recognized by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). It recognizes students for their musical achievements, leadership skills, and service to the community. Tri-M aims to promote music education, academic excellence, and leadership through musical activities. Students will be inducted in the Fall of their freshmen year. All students must have a GPA of 3.5 overall and a 4.0 in music classes.

The Tribe
The Tribe brings together students from our Partners programs to build friendships through inclusive, fun after-school activities. The club fosters a welcoming environment where students of all abilities connect, collaborate, and celebrate one another through games, creative projects, and shared experiences that promote unity and joy.
