Scheduling Resources
At Elizabeth Forward High School, school counselors oversee a comprehensive scheduling process designed to ensure students meet graduation requirements while exploring their academic and career interests. Counselors work closely with students each year to review transcripts, select courses aligned with individual goals, and balance core academic requirements with electives, Advanced Placement options, career and technical education pathways, and arts programming. They collaborate with administrators to build a master schedule that reflects student requests and staffing availability, while also monitoring class sizes and prerequisite requirements. Throughout the year, counselors handle schedule adjustments related to academic placement, credit recovery, new enrollments, or changing student needs. Their goal is to create personalized, purposeful schedules that support each student’s success both in high school and beyond.
