Senior retakes will occur in the morning after AM announcements.

Attention Parents/Guardians and Members of the Class of 2027:

The yearbook staff would like to provide all seniors with the opportunity to have their pictures published in the 2026-2027 Warrior Yearbook. Our district photographer is Redford Schools, the contracted yearbook photographer. Senior Portrait packages of various sizes will be available; however, if you do not wish to order a package from Redford Schools, they will offer yearbook-only photos at NO COST to you.

In order for all seniors to have the opportunity to have their pictures in the yearbook, they must have the photo taken by October 23, 2026. At this retake day, you will not have the option to choose your photo. If you wish to have a shoot with multiple options, please contact Redford to set up an appointment.

Please advise your seniors to wear one of the two appropriate outfits for their photo during the sitting.

• Option one: a white dress shirt, a tie, and a suit jacket. If you do not have the proper attire, the studio will provide you with one for the picture.
• Option two: V-neck black sweater or drape; the drape will be provided by the studio. Those who choose this option may opt to wear a necklace and earrings. Please wear a tank top under the provided drape.

Only photos taken by Redford Schools in the clothing shown above will appear in the senior portrait section of the yearbook. Photographs will not be accepted for publication from an alternate studio. Ordering information is attached to this letter. If your senior wishes to have additional casual photos taken with Redford Schools, contact them directly at info@redfordschools.com or 412-607-2033.

Also, if you wish to have alternate or additional photos appear in the book, we will be selling graduate advertising space that will appear with your chosen senior picture and message for your student. You will be receiving information regarding advertisements at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school term from our yearbook vendor, Jostens.

Attention Seniors and Juniors: Please read this document carefully for information regarding parking passes for the coming 2026-2027 school year.

Construction Status:

Due to ongoing construction, parking may be limited at the beginning of the school year.  The parking lot is currently being reconfigured, and it is possible not all spaces will be available for the first day of school.  As spaces become available, they will be assigned to students.

All parking spots in our lot are numbered following a safety and risk assessment by the PA State Police. Due to construction, all spaces still need to be repaved and repainted prior to the distribution of passes.  We anticipate being able to serve around 120 student drivers.

1. 1. Priority to Seniors:
   • All senior students will be given the first opportunity to obtain a parking pass.
   • Passes will be distributed once the parking lot has been repaved and spaces numbered
   • After senior passes have been distributed, a limited number of passes (10-15) will be available to juniors.
   • A waiting list will be compiled once all spots are allocated. Please refrain from calling the school; we will contact students on the waiting list if a spot becomes available during the school year. 

We understand the importance of driving to school for athletics, activities, employment, and sibling care. However, due to the limited number of available parking spaces, not all junior applicants will be able to secure a spot.

Steps to Apply for a Parking Pass:

1. Permit Holders:
   • Students with a permit will be automatically placed on the waiting list until they receive their driver's license. We cannot hold spots.
2. Senior Passes:
   • Senior passes will be exclusively on sale from Monday, July 20th, to Friday, July 31st.
   • Seniors must submit a completed parking application with all required documents and a check or money order for $20 to the main office. This money is used as a fundraiser for the senior class. Your place is line will not be held until forms and payment are received.
   • The Parking Application is available at the bottom of this page or at the EFHS Main Office.  If a senior is on vacation, a friend or family member may submit the application and payment on their behalf.  Forms can also be completed electronically and emailed to kcurran@efsd.net.
3. Remaining Spots:
   • After processing senior applications, the number of remaining spots will be determined. Most senior licensed drivers who apply on time are expected to receive a spot.
4. Junior Passes:
   • Juniors participating in school-sponsored after-school activities will receive preference.
   • Juniors can submit completed parking applications without payment starting Wednesday, August 5th, at Elizabeth Forward High School Main Office from 8 am-10 am.
   • If a junior is on vacation, someone else may submit the application on their behalf. Incomplete applications will be returned and placed at the end of the queue.
   • Juniors will be notified by telephone if selected to receive a pass. Please do not contact the main office regarding parking, as we may be unable to return calls due to the start of the school year.
5. Anticipation for Juniors:
   • Based on past years, around 15 passes are anticipated to be available for juniors. Be prepared for the possibility that your child may be unable to drive to school. Buses are available for all students, and coaches will allow time for students to take the bus home and return with a car for practices or games. It is advisable not to schedule work shifts earlier than 4 pm to account for bus transportation.
6. Waiting List:
   • A waiting list for licensed junior drivers will be compiled based on participation in school-sponsored after-school activities and the order in which completed applications are received with all required documents.

As construction continues, parking availability may change; our goal will continue to be to fairly provide access to as many student drivers as possible.  More information will be provided closer to the start of the year regarding group numbers and a parking schedule for the year.

Elizabeth Forward High School is proud to announce that junior Chloe Axon is the recipient of this year’s Carson Scholars Fund. The Carson Scholars program recognizes students for high academic achievement, humanitarian qualities, and community service.

As a Carson Scholar, Chloe will receive a $1,000 college scholarship. Carson Scholars are eligible for annual renewal of the scholarship as long as they maintain high academic standards and a commitment to their communities. The Carson Scholars Fund was founded in 1994 by pediatric neurosurgeon Benjamin S. Carson to motivate and reward academic excellence in young people.

Students Leading with Purpose: iSH Company Gives Back in a Big Way

At Elizabeth Forward High School, a group of students is proving that leadership, compassion, and entrepreneurship can go hand in hand. The iSH Company—short for In Student Hands—is doing exactly what its name promises: putting meaningful impact directly into the hands of students.

This student-driven initiative recently made a powerful contribution to the community by donating 280 shirts and $1,000 to support patients in need at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital. It’s the kind of effort that goes beyond a school project—it’s real-world kindness with real-world results.

The iSH Company isn’t just about creating products; it’s about creating purpose. Students take ownership of the entire process, from concept and design to production and outreach. Along the way, they build skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership—while keeping their focus on helping others.

The donation to UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital reflects a deep understanding of community needs, particularly in the area of mental health. The shirts serve not only as practical items but also as symbols of comfort and connection—reminders that someone cares. The financial contribution helps extend that support even further, providing resources for patients who may be facing difficult circumstances.

What makes this effort especially meaningful is that it was entirely student-led. These aren’t adults assigning a service project—this is students recognizing a need and stepping up to meet it. That kind of initiative speaks volumes about the culture at Elizabeth Forward High School and the character of its students.

The iSH Company continues to show that when students are empowered, incredible things can happen. Whether it’s through creativity, generosity, or sheer determination, they are making a difference—one project at a time.

And if this is what happens when it’s “in students' hands,” we might want to keep it there.

The Student Government Association [SGA] members and Night of Service co-chairs, Brooklynn McPherson and Abigail Michaels, accept a $500 donation from the Elizabeth Guardian Angels representatives Stephanie Squibb and Robin Poirier. The funds will be used to purchase supplies for the annual EF Night of Service, including bags for chemotherapy patients at Hillman Cancer Center, treat bags for residents at Oasis at Elizabeth, and activity bags for teen patients at Western Psychiatric Institute.

All the items will be decorated and assembled at the EF Night of Service on May 6.

The EF Christmas Card Challenge winner is junior Sabella Molinaro. Among a flurry of wonderful cards submitted from all the schools in the district, hers was the star on the tree. Director of Technology, Mrs. Alison DeMarco, posed with Sabella in our Guidance Office.

Elizabeth Forward High School junior Sabella Molinaro has earned national recognition with her recent publication in the Journal of Emergency Medical Services (JEMS), one of the most respected publications in the field. Her article, published this past October, marks an impressive achievement for a high school student and reflects her dedication to public safety and service.

Molinaro is widely regarded as a diligent and conscientious student, consistently demonstrating the drive and professionalism that set her apart in her academic and career pursuits. Her family and educators are commending her exceptional work and her commitment to making a meaningful impact in the community.

Sabella’s publication showcases not only her passion for emergency services but also the remarkable opportunities she is creating for her future. Her work brings pride to the EFHS community and highlights the influence young people can have in professional fields.
